The Assistant Agent Course gives you the entry-level skills you need to start work in real estate, stock and station, or strata management. It meets NSW Fair Trading requirements for the Certificate of Registration real estate in NSW, which is the mandatory first step if you want to work in property sales, leasing or property management. You must hold this certificate before you can be employed in any assistant agent role. This course is also the first part of the Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice (CPP41419), which you'll need later to become a fully licensed real estate agent.

This course is developed to meet NSW Fair Trading requirements so you can apply for a Certificate of Registration real estate and begin your career as an assistant agent in NSW. It's your stepping-stone into the industry and sets you up with the practical knowledge to be work-ready from day one.

A dedicated learner-support officer and trainer-assessor are not included with this course option. If you need support from a learner-support officer or trainer-assessor, extra fees apply.

Study your way

This is the online version of the Assistant Agent/Certificate of Registration in Real Estate course.

Online learning is a method of learning where a learner will use REINSW online platforms to complete this modules workbook and assessment section. Online uses interactive online systems to ensure that you receive a highly engaging and interesting learning experience. This assistant agent training style is also self-paced which is completed by the learner in their own time with little to no assistance from the RTO unless required.

A dedicated learner support officer & trainer assessor are not included with this course option. Where you require assistance for a learner support officer & trainer and assessor additional fees are payable. Refer to the additional fees section.

Classroom and Zoom study options are also available for the Assistant Agent/Certificate of Registration in Real Estate course.

Zoom / Face-to-face is a method of learning where a learner will attend a class with a Trainer & Assessor either by Zoom or in person at our REINSW House training rooms. We have a set training calendar every year that allows learners to choose which course they would like to attend either in person or via Zoom to gain that valuable and advantageous one-on-one training experience.

  1. What is the AAC Online-Only Course?
    The AAC Online-Only course is a flexible, self-paced learning option designed for learners who prefer to complete their studies independently. It provides access to learning materials and assessments without direct trainer support.
  2. Do I get a dedicated trainer or support officer?
    No, The Online-Only learners do not have a dedicated trainer or support officer. However, you will have access to course materials and can progress at your own pace.
  3. What if I need additional support?
    If you require trainer assistance, you can book a 30-minute assessment help session for $25 here. Once paid, email training@reinsw.com.au so we can organise your session.
  4. How do I upgrade to the Full Support Class?
    Upgrade for a one-off $60 fee here. This option provides ongoing support, including a dedicated trainer who you can book time for when you need assessment help sessions, and a learner support officer who will provide you assistance, guidance, and support. Additionally, you can attend our monthly 3-day course in person or via Zoom at REI House.
  5. Are there any deadlines for completing the course?
    Yes, the AAC Online-Only course has a six-month duration. Please refer to your enrolment confirmation for your specific completion deadline. If you require an extension, you must email training@reinsw.com.au and provide a valid reason.
  6. How do I submit my assessments?
    All assessments must be completed and submitted online through the learner portal. Detailed instructions are provided within the course.
